Check Out The Off-Campus Breakfast Club

Are you having a tough time communicating with your off-campus neighbors? Community members often see the off-campus undergraduate population as a hostile invasion. It’s easy to see why if you take their perspective. Their quiet neighborhood nearly empty during the summer months, doubles in population in September. The young professionals, families, and elderly community members often have very different standards of neighborly behavior and quiet hours from the incoming students.

One way to start off and stay on good footing with your neighbors is to participate in the BC Breakfast Club! Basically the Breakfast Club is a local community service club. We clean up trash in the Off-Campus Community on Sunday mornings after home football games and then go out for a breakfast at Eagles Deli provided by Boston College. The clean up usually last around 40-50 minutes; student enjoy getting to know their peers and their community better. This program allows students to give back directly to their community and for neighbors to see students caring about their community!

The next time you are looking to get to know your neighbors or for a free Sunday morning breakfast or to add community service to your resume join the Boston College Breakfast Club!
